I'm glad I made this rabbit a scarf and some trousers.
Because it is still freezing cold out there!

The puppy hat was made first, than came the dog:

Spot any similarities?

Both have floppy ears! ;-)

Using the granny square pattern I made this poncho.
And quite a few more.
They have proven to be a convenient and popular garment.

Lunch Bag

This bag was ordered for a little girl to carry her lunch to school.
I've added one of my bird designs:

But it wasn't quite finished until I also attached a heart button and a little bell:

Baby Blanket

Here is another baby blanket I made for a little baby boy.
A welcome set together with a pair of small booties:

Half a life-time ago I was shown how to make a doll.
Now it was time to pass on this skill.
There are still some improvements to be made
but I am quite happy with this first prototype.

New Hat

In addition to the loop scarf I made for the still not arrived spring,
here is the finished matching hat.
Spring, please do come now !!!

Saturday, 23 March 2013

I've made quite a lot of blankets in different sizes over the last couple of years.
They are very handy as second layer in very cold winter nights
or as a throw in chilly summer evenings.

The granny square pattern is easy to make and the colour variations are endless.
Watch out for the baby blanket that I am currently making in white, lilac and purple.

Starry Night

I call this necklace design "starry night" as it reminds me of a dark sky with sparkly stars.
While threading the black glass seed beads I added a few silver beads randomly.
A magnet heart makes the closure for this crocheted necklace:

More Monsters

I've made more little monsters. Here is the brown-beige one
with a dark zipper to eat those worries.

Flower chains

Long lasting flowers that can be sent all over the world.
Especially needed when there is no summer in sight...

Summer skirt

The colours of the cotton yarn inspired me to make this summer skirt.
Hope it is soon warm enough so it can be worn again.

For Little Treasures

A purse every girl would love to keep her treasures in.
It can be filled with marbles, hearts, hairbands, a little doll, shells....

Laptop Cover

Sometimes there is a need for practical things.
Like a fancy protection for your laptop
(or any other digital gadget).

I use at least 5 yarns to make the bags steady enough.
Taking different colours of yarn produces interesting shades.

One day a boy asked me to make a R2D2 hat.
With all the details like antennas and buttons.
So I did.
And the prototype got approval from the young expert.
So I crocheted more, the demand was is there.

I created my own pattern and luckily wrote it down
so that I can reproduce the design at any time.
I've made colour combinations in white/blue and grey/blue
(as shown in the photos above).

Preparing for Spring

Hoping that Jack Frost will depart soon,
here is a colourful loop scarf to greet the spring.

In the making...

I'm currently making a necklace with a matching bracelet.
It needs to be ready before the weekend.
Just look at the different shades of the bead colours, aren't they great!?

Soft & Sweet

These little pals are very soft & cosy.
And baby-safe too: no buttons or other small parts that could come off.
I've already crocheted a lot of them in different colour combinations.

Sweet dreams!

Boy or Girl ?

It doesn't matter if boy or girl, I'm always happy when there is a baby (or two!) born.
A friend of mine is expecting and I'm currently busy making a blanket for the new arrival.
So happy!

Got worries?

Then you might want one of them:

Those little fellows have a zipper mouth and
can be fed with worries (that are written or drawn on a piece of paper).

I've made quite a few of them as they are a big hit with young and old.
(We all have some kind of worries, don't we?)

The frog bag was created out of a need for a lunch bag.
Now it is used for transportation of any sort of goods.

The frog's eyes serve as buttons and the facial part is a small pocket :

Last year I made this crocheted bikini with cotton yarn in two shades of green.
No pattern used, just designed as I went along with the crochet hook.

Green + Wood + Felt = Nature.

Summer dress

It's nice to see a little wild moth dressing up in a Wild Moths' design.
More have been requested already.

Patriotic Designs

More crocheted bead necklaces, today in patriotic designs.
Every single bead needs to be threaded according to its particular pattern.

Depending on the length of the necklace or bracelet,
this takes some time and patience!!!

Interested? Necklace and more available in the Wildmoths shop (on Etsy).

I like making these delicate crochet flowers. They are about ø 1" (ø 2.5 cm) with the earrings having a total length of ca. 1.5" (4 cm). And the good thing: almost any colour is possible :-)
